Ladies Golf

Pretoria Country Club ladies' golf section boasts an affiliated membership of 250.

Between 40 and 60 ladies play in the organised competition every Tuesday, ladies' day at PCC. Throughout the year the ladies play in various trophy competitions from single and better ball match play, individual and better-ball Stableford competitions, to monthly medals. In addition, our senior ladies have a regular monthly competition, usually on a Friday.

Most mornings see our ladies having a friendly game and on Sundays couples and families enjoy the facilities. The tradition-rich PCC may have one of the oldest golf sections in South Africa, but the facilities are modern. What's more, our course has just been upgraded to the tune of approximately R6m.

The golf ladies' cloakrooms form part of the latest complex, comprising a superb proshop and driving range.

The PCC ladies' teams have over the years been very successful in the league fixtures organised by Gauteng North. Women's Golf at PCC offers a Saturday league, (better-ball match play), and a Thursday league, (individual match play). The ladies' section is involved in the organisation of the numerous mixed competitions played on Sundays, and the mixed league. We have been fortunate to have generous sponsorships for our larger competitions, including the Club Championship and the various ladies' and mixed open days.

The ladies' section is very proud of its record of helping new golfers. The annual beginners' clinic, held in June every year, is very popular and many ladies join the section and progress to become good golfers.
