The six high-quality all-weather tennis courts at the Pretoria Country Club are situated next to the Club's beautiful lake and are surrounded by lawns, flower beds and trees. A more beautiful setting is hard to imagine. Bird life and a few guinea fowls add to the charm of the environment. Two floodlit courts provide the opportunity to play tennis after sunset. And after a good session on court, what better way to relax than with a cup of tea or beer in the clubhouse. Tennis players are exempt from paying the loyalty fee and only pay R250.00 entrance fee. The tennis committee controls the affairs of the tennis section. For those interested in competitive tennis, the committee arranges championship round-robin tournaments and participation in league. Floodlit Tennis Courts 3 and 4 are floodlit. Reservations can be made at reception. The fee is R15.00 per hour. Collect the key from reception prior to play. The keys open one of the switch boxes in the tennis clubhouse. Please note that the person making the reservation will be responsible for switching the lights off after play and for returning the key to reception. If the club is closed at the end of play, leave the key in the drop-box at the top of the reception stairs outside the door. Social tennis Social tennis is organised by the Tennis Committee for the players every Saturday from 13h00 in winter and from 14h00 in summer. Every player must pay a R10 fee for Tennis balls. For R5 you can enjoy a cup of tea with the members and guests. All other social tennis is organized by individual members |
